KROLL Computer Systems Inc. is a national sales and support company
solely dedicated to providing "end to end" solutions for the PHARMACY software and
hardware marketplace. From our offices in Edmonton, Toronto and Halifax we currently
service approximately 2,500 diverse pharmacy customers throughout Canada.

of customer care and innovation with the introduction of enhancements, modules and
industry specific initiatives
Our suite of products is a natural evolution of our experience combining our comprehensive
knowledge of pharmacy with the power of the Windows operating system.
Our application is fully scalable, operating in stand alone settings to wide area
server client environments. The Kroll application operates on the Windows XP Professional
operating system accessing a SQL database. A true multitasking desktop includes
Window applications, Internet, e-mail, multiple interfaces to other programs. The
design philosophy encompasses maximum efficiency and effectiveness of current hardware
configurations.
Our customized "drag and drop" desktop includes:
- traditional "fill & bill" applications
- adjudication via / internet / satellite / WAN / LAN
- DUR clinical database, leaflets, (interactions, wellness, etc)
- accounts receivable / perpetual inventory
- complete financial and operational report menu
- customizable security and automated redundancy
- electronic drug ordering and automated inventory receipt
- POS bar coding for receiving, filling and front store register interface
- robotic, internet, VPN, telephony and centralized interfaces
Some recent initiatives include:
E-refills
- A real time interactive interface supporting customer. The module will support
queries and return messaging similar to many of the current telephony products.
- The customer will receive a real-time response confirming status that includes
- Patient verification (matching Rx number with name, etc)
- Confirming available refills and providing pick up information
- Suggesting doctor follow up if no refills are available.
- The pharmacy will receive a real-time message on filling screen noting status
of Rx:
- Displays refill information complete with timestamp informing pharmacist to call
Doctor and/or intervene if necessary
Next steps of internet connectivity may include:
- Auto email Rx refill reminders
- Customer access to complete drug profile
- On screen reorder, customer data and related information
Other active projects include:
Application program interface
- Full featured standardized interface to access Kroll database from other applications,
websites, and/or databases (IVR, Internet)
- Query / Update / Insert / Delete:Patients, Drugs, Doctors, etc.
- Automatically populates “To Do” for pharmacist follow up
Centralized database management
- Maintain a central repository of prescription data from multiple sites for centralized
sales and statistics reporting
- Fully scalable and ability to access from third party tools (i.e. data mining)
- Preserve and centrally distribute drug, pricing and third party information to
multiple sites
- Full reporting capability confirmation tools including, data backup, redundancy,
pricing, version confirmation, security, etc.
Central fill module
- Server and client module allows each Rx to be packaged locally or centrally, while
still retaining single customer profile at originating location
- Complete reporting, inventory management and distribution model tools
POS interfaces / Workflow / Automation
- Bar coding and file capture for interfacing to POS systems
- Produce POS scanning report to automatically update Rx status on Kroll
- Continued development - automated packaging, counters, robotics, third party applications
and cognitive programs
